A Tribute to Our Friends

Our family was recently blessed to sing at the funeral of Mrs. Rister. She had reached the milestone of 104 years old! She was a wonderful Christian lady and is often featured in our column "Erstwhile Encounters" in the Prairie Proclamation, as she reminisces of her earlier years. We will miss her smile and encouragement. After that, it brought to our minds other friends that have gone to be with the Lord this past year. Our family was blessed to sing at each of these funerals and minister to the families in a special way. . .Earl Prince. . . Arthur "Goodboy" Barker. . . Elton and Edna. . .
Our dear friends Elton Carlson and his wife Edna passed away in December and June of 2009, respectively. We shared many good laughs and enjoyed revivals together with Elton and Edna. They were a good example of a righteous Christian couple serving their Lord and Savior. We miss them dearly.
