Part of the Puzzle at Heritage Woods

We were invited to attend a thank-you dinner for folks who had volunteered throughout the past year at Heritage Woods assisted living facility. "You are all part of the puzzle that makes it all work," reminded the administrator.

It was nice to catch up with old friends and to be a part of the "bigger picture."

Curly Locks!!

Remember how rotten the girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead was?

Ahhhh! Now that is a little better!

McLeansboro Healthcare Church Service

DCC recently held a Sunday afternoon worship service at McLeansboro Healthcare.

Several residents there attended, singing heartily along as the hymns were played.

It was a good day, enjoyed by both young and old.

The Long Lost Knife

During deer season, Mark noticed that he had misplaced his hunting knife. The last he remembered, he had placed on the top of the gun cabinet. We recently decided to give the cabinet its long awaited coat of polyurethane. Guess what we found?!

Upon removing the cabinet to give it take it outside, we found the long lost knife in a most unusual spot! It was amazingly stuck on the wall! Hee! Hee!

Spring Fling in Missouri

The Magic House was first on our agenda. Lots to see and do there. . .

Like blow these tremendously HUGE bubbles!

Then on to Chuck E. Cheese's! What fun!

The next day took us to the amazing Butterfly House.

One landed on each of us throughout our adventure in the butterfly habitat!

We next toured the historical village.

And a trip along route 66 further into the heart of Missouri with the destination of the famous Meramac Caverns was next on our itinerary.

After an evening of relaxing in the hotel pool and enjoying each other's company, it was time to retire before heading home in the morning. It was a great trip.
