Our dear Amanda is rounding out quite nicely.  (Well, we should say that Baby Cox is rounding out quite nicely.)

From this in September. . . .

to this in January. . . .

It won't be long!

Helping out at Ryan and Amanda's

Rachel was happy to be able to assist in opening boxes, decoration, cleaning and any number of tasks that Amanda and Ryan needed since they were finally able to move into their new home!  We were able to help with the moving job and afterward Rachel stayed on to help, since Amanda was nearing her due date.

They were even able to find a patch of nice clean snow make some snow ice cream!

Ryan was busily taping windows to keep Jack Frost at bay.

And the nursery was put together for the arrival of the new addition to the family.

Enjoying the New Tea Set

A tea party was enjoyed at Providence Prairie recently.  Trey and Clair had gifted the nice china set and they simply had to be put to the best use!  The proper attire was donned and the refreshments prepared. . .

Oh what scrumptious fun!

On Our Way Home. . . Serpent Mound

Since some of the school studies had recently been about Indian burial mounds and Serpent Mound in particular, we decided that we could not pass up the opportunity to stop by this landmark on our way home from Ohio.
We climbed the observation tower in the brisk early January weather.

It made a nice short diversion on our way home and put a dose of reality to dry textbook studies!

A Brief Synopsis Of Christmas 2010!

The Christmas season saw us traveling to Ohio to join in the fun at the McDaniel Christmas celebration.  Rachel crafted a gingerbread house that was enjoyed by all!
A couple of weeks later, we enjoyed the celebration of Christ's birth with the Resor Family.  An impromptu game of marbles ensued and was quite fun for all involved.

At Dale Christian church, Trey and Clair directed a Christmas play written by Clair.  The overstuffed Santa, played by Chris amused us all.

Candy Cane Lane was a nice diversion again this year.

Our own primitive cedar tree was once again laden with ornaments and presents, expressing our love for each other, and in celebration of the birth of our Lord.

And yes, we did have a white Christmas!

A week or so later, the married children came to celebrate with us.
Food, glorious food!  Feasting time!

All in all, we had a blessed and wonderful December and Christmas season.
