Independence Day!

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Psalm 33:12
On the evening of July fourth, we gathered along the edge of the reservoir in McLeansboro to celebrate the independence that we enjoy in our country and watch fireworks with the rest of the gathered townfolks.

We met up with our friends the Maxwells for an evening full of laughter, fun, and fellowship.

Happy Fourth of July!

"God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever;"
