Following a sermon presented by Tim Carlson, our family was blessed to be able to minister in song to the congregation that gathered to celebrate the 100
th anniversary of the Church of Christ/ Christian church that meets in Sumner.
The hot July morning caused us to reflect back to what that day 100 years ago in which the people first dedicated this particular building to be used for congregational worship might have been like. There was no cooling air conditioning to ease the heat then.
Following our concert, Phil Young presented the history of the congregation. Afterward, we enjoyed a pleasing fellowship meal in the church basement.
