The family took the opportunity to make a return trip to the beautiful Ferne Clyffe Saturday, a week before Ryan and Amanda's wedding. The weather was rather overcast and spit the occasional rain, but beautiful nonetheless. The special hole through the rock is fun to play with.

Rainbow Cupcakes
During the day, Rachel took the time to make these special rainbow cupcakes considering that it was St. Patrick's Day! Beautiful little works of art! Good to the last crumb!
Girls and Sewing
St. Patrick's Day found us sewing and sewing some more under Mom's oversight. Each of the bridesmaids worked diligently on their own gowns for Amanda's wedding. While the Jamie, Rachel, and Clair worked on satin brocade skirts, Amanda sewed on the black velvet tops.

Showers of Blessings
On March 6th, 2010 we were all busy preparing for the big day of the shower.
We had decided that it would be delightfully fun to hold a joint shower for Clair and Amanda as their wedding days were relatively close.
Shower gift prizes were prepared, while Terry, Tina and Christy worked diligently in other areas of preparation.
The old fashioned tea party atmosphere went over well. Ladies came dressed in hats, gloves, scarves, stoles, and beads. It was lovely.
Our dear friends the Mayberry's made everything look so nice. (and taste so good!)
And so many were so kind to each of our brides. We were humbled by the attendance and the generosity of everyone. Thank you is not enough to express our heart-felt sentiment!
Clair and Amanda with the beautiful cake and the delicious chocolate punch! Mmm!
Thank you and blessings to all who attended; to Rachel who masterminded the event; to Terry, Tina, and Christy for all your hard work and lovely touches; and to Callie Webb who graciously agreed to be our event photographer!

Finally Home!
Praise the Lord! My brother Mark's children from Haiti have finally been released to come home! They are now a permanent part of that family that has been preparing and anticipating this event for a long time. Due to the recent disaster in Haiti, the process was expedited. They have waited in great expectation for this event.
The Bible clearly speaks to us about how much God wanted to adopt us. He went to great lengths to accomplish this task. He gave us the law to show us just how much we really needed Him. He waited until the time was just right to accomplish His plan. He gave up His only Son to seal the agreement.
Just as these children without parents were longing for the unconditional love of true forever parents, so we hunger for a relationship with our God. We cry out, "Abba, Father," to the One who made us heirs when we received adoption.
May God bless the new additions to your family, Mark and Becky!

Well, the time has finally arrived! Life around Providence Prairie has been slowing enough that we can finally update our blog and share some of the pictures from our recent weddings! Welcome to Judy's Wedding Chapel east of Indianapolis, Indiana. There on February 14th- Valentine's Day, two sweethearts were wed. Peruse the pictures and enjoy. . . .
