In the Wool
Providence Prairie recently hosted a program called "From Field to Fashion" in addition to an afternoon of carding and spinning.
It was enjoyable teaching others the time honored skill of carding and using a drop spindle.
Fiber fun in the sunny month of June!

We also brought out the big spinning wheel to give it a "whirl."

Summer Recital Time!
With over 150 people present, the room was filled with great anticipation!
With the addition of vocal performances this year, the venue changed somewhat. We enjoyed banjo, guitar, bass guitar, violin, piano, and vocal music presentations. And each student gave their best performance!

Great job everyone!
Professional quality DVD's of the event are still available.

May 2011 Summary
May found the McDaniel Family serving and working in a variety of ways.
During the evening, Grandaddy took the time to explain life to Justus. He listened intently.
We also presented a puppet skit for our sisters in Christ who had gathered there.
During the month, we loaded up our furry and feathery friends from the farmstead and transported them to Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center to hold a petting fair for the residents.
They loved the variety of soft, cuddly, lovable friends we brought along.
We also worked hard on getting the Peddler Shop ready for opening.
A peek inside. . . behind the new "old" door.
One studio is almost ready to receive its first music lesson!
